Tell us about your inspiration behind the set.

The inspiration for this set is celebrating different genres of music that you can find all throughout the Bay Area. In the Bay we get “hyphy” which is a term that describes the Bay Area music and the vibe as wild, loud, and exciting. In this mix there is a blend of Hip Hop from old and current artists that helped shape and define the “hyphy culture.” Then, the music transitions into genres of House and Techno with familiar edits and samples to get your feet grooving. I’ve selected music from my favorite artists, some from or having ties to the Bay Area. These Funk, Deep, Tech, and Melodic House & Techno tracks truly represent my DJ style, but this is only a taste of what the Bay Area’s music scene and nightlife offers. You can also experience and explore the cultural diversity of the Bay Area through food, art, and sports. Enjoy this mix and the music that brings us together!
