DJ Nugget, tell us about your inspiration behind your set.

I decided to do an upbeat dance mix inspired by Spring in Pittsburgh and based on music selections from Saturday nights at my bar. I wanted to put something together that was fun and touched on a bunch of different dance music genres across multiple decades. The mix is great to listen to early in the night before you go out or primetime while pouring up another Jägermeister cocktail or shot.

DJ Nugget

DJ Nugget is a DJ and bar owner based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Nugget began DJing in high school over twenty years ago and never looked back. His passion for music shows in his sets, and he prides himself on mixing things up; playing a wide variety of genres to always keep things interesting and exciting on the dance floor.

Nugget has graced the decks at bars and nightclubs all over the United States, including NYC, LA, Vegas & Miami, and has opened for the likes of Diplo, Lil Jon, Busta Rhymes, DJ Jazzy Jeff & Questlove, to name a few.

Dj Nugget followed through with his lifelong goal of opening his own bar, and in 2015, he opened it with his wife, Nicole. The bar showcases Pittsburgh’s incredible DJ talent nightly and won “Best New Bar” in 2016 and “Best Bar Pittsburgh East” 2017. Nugget also took home “Best Pittsburgh DJ” in 2016.
