Tell us about your inspiration behind the set.

My inspiration for this set comes from the diversity that you experience in Indianapolis' nightlife scene. Whether you are on Mass Ave, in Fountain Square or on Meridian Street – your experience at each venue or establishment will be unique in its own way, including the music curated for the dance floor and crowd. My song selections are based on my sets and how they are influenced by the diversity around me at each of my residencies. From hip hop, to country – rap to R&B to rock; I get many opportunities to play a wide range of genres in my city. I hope you enjoy this diversified mix!

DJ Annie D is an Indianapolis, IN based DJ where she is the curator of many dance floors throughout the city. A true open format DJ, you can catch Annie D in LGBTQIA+ spaces, cigar lounges, upscale restaurants, and events around the city of Indianapolis. During a single set you will hear her spicing it up with a wide range of music including: R&B, Country, Hip Hop, Emo, & Rock. She has built a brand based on her passion for all genres of music and how it makes a person feel, a western aesthetic, and her ability to cater to any crowd to ensure that they stay and enjoy the experience – no matter where that may be.
