Tell us about your inspiration behind the set.

With our mix, we wanted to encompass the beauty, individuality, the ebb-and-flow, and the in-between of being queer in New York City. It reflects the fast-paced lifestyle, the suspension of excitement in nightlife, and the sense of community and otherness that comes with being queer. We have curated a selection of LGBTQ+ and bipoc artists, both emerging and established, to highlight the unique and distinct sounds across the spectrum. Much like the diverse people of NYC, queerness has many different stories, backgrounds, and faces. In our mix, we have included artists from NYC as well as international artists, showcasing the diversity and global influence of queer music within New York's nightlife.
