Brooke's "Beautiful Escape" Playlist

While creating this playlist to pair with the Beautiful Escape cocktail, it was really a feeling I was looking for. Creating something you can just vibe to without wondering what time it is or what email you’re missing. Beats that you can listen to while laying in the middle of a park, close your eyes, and just smile, knowing you have nowhere else you need to be. Beginning with chill songs  as you unwind and let go of it all to a more upbeat finish as you begin to truly be present in this beautiful moment.

    Beautiful Escape Cocktail Inspiration:

Summer in NYC is so unique. The BBQs are block parties, the get-togethers are park meetups, and the hot late nights are stoop hangs. The city never stops moving, and you can forget to pay attention to the moments that make it worthwhile to live here. The Beautiful Escape cocktail was created while thinking of those summer days spent with the people most dear to me. Jägermeister Cold Brew replaces that iced coffee we cling to for a pick me up on hot days. A bright berry syrup made from locally grown Blueberries and Blackberries that are what we always snack on for picnics. And since citrus isn’t in season, using a Lime Curd that was made at peak freshness. The soda mixes in for a float-like feeling that is the perfect mid-day treat while we escape the hustle of it all and appreciate the beauty.

    Brooke's Tips & Tricks

    *Berry Syrup

    1. Add 2 cups of fresh or frozen berries and 1 cup of white sugar to a small saucepan. Place on medium heat and occasionally stir until berries break down (about 5 minutes).
    2. Add ½ cup water to the mixture.
    3. Let simmer for 10 min to reduce.
    4. Take off of heat and strain through a mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
    5. Let cool down before using.
    6. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Fun, low waste tip: Take the remaining berry pulp and spread thinly onto parchment paper, bake at the lowest heat until dried thoroughly (3-4hrs), or dehydrate. It makes delicious fruit leather!

Lime Curd can be easily found in stores or made at home if you’re feeling adventurous.

Creating an environment of welcoming and unyielding hospitality is the whole basis of my job. What keeps me passionate is the guest experience and the education behind the spirits.
