Cocktail Name: Midnight at Mary’s

Recipe:

• 1 part Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee
• 1 part Coconut Milk
• ½ part Sailor Jerry
• ½ part Portland Syrup Marion berry syrup
• ½ part Stumptown Cold Brew Concentrate
• Barspoon Honey Syrup
• Barspoon Drambuie
• Pinch of Salt
• 3 dashes Westward Hazelnut bitters

Glass: Snifter

Garnish: Shaved toasted hazelnut, orange peel, and smoking cinnamon stick.

Method: Build in tin, whip shake with pebble ice, dirty dump into snifter and top with more pebble ice. Garnish with shaved toasted hazelnut, orange peel, and smoking cinnamon stick.

What do you love about your city?
Portland is a beautiful, lush, green city filled with great food and drinks. The people that live here, whether born and raised or transplants, care deeply about each other, and you can feel it throughout the city, especially if you’re sitting at the bar!

Cocktail Inspiration:
I got my first hospitality job at 16 working at a knock off chuck-e-cheese, but the month I turned 21, I started cutting my teeth behind the bar and really getting into the culture- aka lots of caffeine and late nights closing bars and strip clubs. Being spoiled by too much good coffee (cause Portland, duh), and having too many hangovers from late nights, I wanted to give a nod to the things that made her- Mary’s strip club was the first topless bar in Portland and the first strip club I ever visited. Every now and then I like to relive the good old days (if I get off work in time) to get a little caffeine boost from an espresso martini and hit the clubs!
