What inspired you to create this amazing cocktail?
My inspiration behind the cocktail is to show the diversity in Atlanta and the love I've been shown since moving here. My favorite event of the year is the Pride parade. I've been lucky enough to walk in the parade a couple of times. The parade route ends at Piedmont park, and then people hang out in the park. You meet tons of new people. There are food trucks and vendors selling all sorts of artwork and jewelry. Pride has been canceled for the last two years, so this year will be a lot of fun. I can't wait!
What does hospitality mean to you?
Hospitality is making the person sitting/standing in front of you as happy as you can. Hospitality is being personable. There are hundreds of places to go in this city, and they've chosen your establishment to leave a lasting impression. I enjoy engaging with customers, even if it's not about the drink.
Grab your tools, and let's make it together!

I moved to Atlanta, GA, from Detroit, MI, in October 2009. My cousin had already lived in Atlanta for a few years and was the person who first got me started in hospitality. I was hired, with no experience, at a short-lived burger restaurant in Vinings, GA. I've worked as everything from a busser in a restaurant to a general manager. I've worked at private parties and events. I've been fortunate enough to meet some very cool people. I've bartended at mostly high-volume places. I've also spent time traveling and consulting for a company that opened hotel bars. I enjoy watching sports, mainly basketball. I've coached both boys' and girls' high school basketball. I was recruited to play basketball at a Division 3 school in Michigan. I love going to sporting events and concerts here in Atlanta. I also enjoy going to bars and restaurants in the city to try new food and drinks. I like visiting friends at their bars and restaurants to see what new things they've been working on.
