Recipe:

  • 1 part Strawberry Infused Jägermeister*
  • ½ part Teremana Blanco
  • ¾ part Spiced Pineapple Ginger Syrup**
  • ¾ Part Lime Juice
  • 2-3 parts Stone Tangerine Express

Glass: Collins

Garnish: Pineapple frond & wedge

Method: Shake all ingredients Except For Beer.  Pour 2-3 parts Stone Tangerine express into Collins glass.  Fill ¾ full of crushed Ice.  Strain the shaken portion into Collins glass, and add crushed ice to the top.  Garnish with Pineapple frond & wedge.

Inspiration:

In the spirit of Deer & Beer, and Cinco de Mayo, I created this fun refreshing cocktail using Jägermeister and Teremana together with our dear friend… Beer! Part strawberry margarita, part Belin Mule, part tiki, and all about Deer & Beer, this is a great cocktail to kick off warmer weather and enjoy all summer. Prost!

Get To Know Mathias

Mathias Simonis hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mathias began his career in 1991 bussing tables and has worked his way to Regional Educator for West and Control states for Mast Jägermeister-US. Mathias has lived in San Francisco, Nashville, and Las Vegas, and worked some of the most notable bars in each city.

Mathias's Tips & Tricks

Don’t have crushed ice? Find your local Sonic and pick up a bag of that good ice!

*Strawberry infused Jägermeister:

  • 1 cup diced strawberry to 2 cups Jägermeister.  Steep overnight and strain.

**Spiced Pineapple/Ginger syrup: 

  • 6 parts Pineapple Juice
  • 2 parts diced ginger
  • 8 parts sugar
  • Cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 anise pods
  • Tbsp cardamom
  • Vanilla bean

Method: Bring to a simmer 5-10 min, let cool, and strain.

If you’d like to purchase syrup vs. making at home, you can combine ginger syrup and pineapple gum for a close replacement.
