Cocktail Name: Schönen Kaffee

Recipe:
- 1 Part Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee
- ½ Part Congac
- ½ Part Port
- 1 Part Rich Simple
- 1 whole egg
Glass: Coupe
Garnish: Grated Nutmeg
Method: Shake with Ice. Strain back into tin and dry shake. Strain into coupe and garnish with nutmeg

February’s theme of “love” around Valentine's day, I wanted to create an after-dinner cocktail. This is a riff on a Coffee Cocktail, swapping in Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee as the base and using the cognac and port as modifiers. The herbal sweetness of Jägermeister, with the coffee and cocoa notes of Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee, make this a great riff on a classic after-dinner cocktail.
Tips & Tricks
There are many different arguments about the “Dry Shake.” I have always preferred to shake drinks with egg or egg whites with ice first and then shake again without ice to emulsify. Good large ice shaken first helps emulsify your egg! This drink can also be whipped up in a blender with a little crushed ice for some dilution, as I use that method to whip up some egg nogs over the holidays.
